Founded in 1977, the Center is a 14,000 sq. ft. city owned facility located in the central area of Vallejo providing social, educational, recreational, health, nutritional and consumer advice, counseling, and activities. The Florence Douglas Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit, multi-purpose, all-inclusive, service center that directly provides over 60 regular programs to seniors. As a non-profit 501(c)3 we are supported by your donations, fundraising, grants, and social programs, we also welcome volunteer opportunities. The Vallejo Senior Citizens’ Council Inc., established in 1974, is the 501(c)3 non-profit responsible for oversight and management of the Florence Douglas Center.
